About The Record:
Fully Realized, by Charlie Rich, is a double album compilation showcasing the artist's earlier mid-1960s recordings for the Smash label, blending rockabilly, jazz, country, and R&B influences that highlight his versatile piano-driven style and soulful voice before his major 1970s breakthrough. It serves as a testament to his underappreciated talents during that era, featuring a mix of upbeat rock-pop numbers and more introspective tracks that demonstrate why he earned the nickname the Silver Fox. A unique aspect is its release capitalizing on Rich's newfound superstardom, bringing overlooked gems to a wider audience and offering a perfect overview of his pop-tinged work when he was still somewhat of a voice in the wilderness. Fan-favorites and standout cuts include Mohair Sam, Lonely Weekends, Party Girl, and Tears A-Go-Go, which capture his deft touch with catchy, energetic material. The album itself was a hit, reaching No. 11 on the Billboard country albums chart and No. 201 on the pop albums chart, while the included single Mohair Sam had previously peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.
