Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Textured cover with reflective lettering on back and spine has a few creases near edges (front/back); light has light scuffing, noticeable scuffing on back. Inner-sleeve is original (textured with lyrics/credits). Spine is mostly easy-to-read (text is off center) with wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. Columbia House pressing. (Not a cut-out.)

Back to Earth was the last album of contemporary western music that Cat Stevens recorded until An Other Cup, nearly 30 years later. The album features a return to the acoustic guitar sound of Stevens' early 1970s albums like Tea for the Tillerman. As he was unwilling to promote the album with a tour, it peaked low, at No. 33 on the Billboard charts. Singles from the album included Bad Brakes, and Last Love Song.
