About The Record:

Best Of Christmas by Capitol Records is a compilation featuring a variety of Christmas songs performed by artists from the label’s roster, showcasing a blend of traditional and contemporary holiday music. This album, released during the peak of the 1960s holiday music trend, captured the era’s festive spirit with contributions from notable Capitol artists, though specific tracklists and performers for this release are less documented compared to other Capitol Christmas compilations. Its historical significance lies in its reflection of Capitol Records’ dominance in producing popular Christmas music during the 1960s, a period when the label was known for its high-quality holiday releases, such as Nat King Cole’s iconic recordings. No specific hit singles are directly associated with this compilation in available records, as it primarily served as a curated collection rather than a source of new chart-topping tracks. The album remains a nostalgic artifact of the era’s holiday music landscape, appealing to collectors and fans of classic Christmas recordings.
