About The Record:

The Best of Vol. II, by Lenny Dee, is a two-record compilation showcasing the American organist’s versatile easy listening and pop/boogie-woogie style. Featuring 20 tracks such as All I Ever Need Is You, The Entertainer, and Spinning Wheel, the album draws from Dee’s extensive career, highlighting his ability to blend popular songs with his distinctive organ sound. Historically significant for capturing Dee’s contribution to the easy listening genre during its peak, the album reflects the Nashville sound’s influence, developed with producer Owen Bradley. While no specific hit singles from this compilation are noted as chart-toppers, Spinning Wheel stands out, having earned Dee a gold record in 1970 from an earlier release. The album remains a testament to Dee’s popularity in the 1950s through 1970s, appealing to fans of instrumental pop and organ music.
