Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, slight discoloration, and surface impressions (front/back); lines drawn through a few song titles on back. Inner-sleeve is original (generic white); writing on one side. Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; some wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)

About The Record:

Chubby Checker's The Change Had Come showcases the bands revival perfectly. The sleek leadoff track, Running, became Checker's first chart single in 13 years, placing at No. 91 on US charts, and the LP was his first new collection to chart in nearly two decades. Another single, Harder Than Diamond, reached No. 104 on US charts. Rather than just twisting again, Checker updated his music much the way, and Checker's wailing tenor and good rhythmic sense were well-suited to the material. It all added up to only a modest success, to be sure, but Checker was back!
