Vinyl plays with crackles (play-graded). Gate-fold cover looks good; a few creases near edges; moderate scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, discoloration spots, and surface impressions (front/back/inner-gate); inner-gate is stuck together. Inner-sleeve is original (lyrics/credits). Spine is mostly easy-to-read with wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)

About The Record:

A Single Man, by Elton John, was the first album where Gary Osborne replaced Bernie Taupin as lyricist. It is also the only Elton John album to not have any tracks co-written by Bernie Taupin on the original cut. Singles from the album were Part-Time Love, (No. 22 US, No. 15 UK) Song for Guy, and Return to Paradise. Song for Guy was a near-global success, charting high everywhere except the US and Canada, where John's label, MCA Records, did not feel that it had hit potential. A Single Man was released following the success of his A Single Man in Concert shows in Moscow and Leningrad. In the US, A Single Man was certified platinum in November of 1978 by the RIAA.
