About The Record:
For the Nero-minded, by Peter Nero, features Henry Mancini's beautiful Moon River which gets a lush lyrical, full orchestra treatment. In contrast Yesterday opens with Peter alone at the piano for the first half chorus, joined then by full orchestra. This tune is normally played in a minor key but, at one point, it is Peter's pleasure to play it in a major key for a really interesting effect. Generally, the orchestration throughout the album makes liberal use of strings, French horn and reeds. This the art of popular piano playing at it's best!
