About The Record:
Randy Meisner, self-titled album of Randy Meisner, a founding member of the Eagles and Poco, marked his second solo effort following his departure from the Eagles, showcasing a blend of rock, pop, and country influences. Recorded after his time with Poco and the Eagles, the album reflects Meisner's signature heartfelt vocals and songwriting, with tracks like Never Been in Love and Darkness of the Heart standing out. Historically significant as part of Meisner's post-Eagles career, it captured his attempt to establish a solo identity during a transitional period in his life, though it didn’t achieve major commercial success. The single Never Been in Love was a minor hit, reaching No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, but no other tracks from the album charted significantly. The album remains a notable, if underappreciated, chapter in Meisner’s discography, appreciated by fans of his earlier work.
