About The Record:

A Christmas, by King Family, released in 1965, is a festive collection of holiday songs performed by the extended King Family, known for their television show and harmonious vocal arrangements. This album captures the wholesome, family-oriented spirit of mid-1960s America, featuring a mix of traditional carols and contemporary holiday tunes with lush orchestrations. Its historical significance lies in its association with the King Family's popular ABC variety show, which showcased their musical talents and contributed to their prominence in American entertainment during the era. While the album itself did not produce major chart-topping singles, tracks like White Christmas and The Christmas Song were popular renditions, often highlighted for their warm, multi-generational vocal harmonies. The album remains a nostalgic piece of holiday music history, reflecting the era's idealized family values and musical style.
