About The Record:
Biggest Hits, by Bobby Bare, is a compilation album that gathers key tracks from his late 1970s and early 1980s work, showcasing his blend of country, folk, and storytelling. The album captures Bare’s transition from his earlier RCA Victor hits to his Columbia era, reflecting his “outlaw” image and collaboration with songwriters like Shel Silverstein. It includes the new track 'Til I Can Gain Control Again, a cover of Rodney Crowell’s song, which marked Bare’s continued relevance in the country scene. While not as commercially dominant as his 1960s output, the album highlights Bare’s enduring ability to interpret emotionally rich narratives. No major hit singles emerged from this specific release, but it encapsulates his influential Columbia period.
