About The Record:
Big Noise From Winnetka, by Bette Midler, was originally a jazz song co-written by composer and bass player Bob Haggart and drummer Ray Bauduc with lyrics by Gil Rodin and Bob Crosby and first recorded in 1938. Midler wrote additional lyrics and recorded a version of the song for her album Thighs and Whispers. The song was also remixed as a 12" single, the song lasting 6:56, and it became a minor hit on the U.S. Dance Charts.
