About The Record:

Just for Old Time's Sake, by McGuire Sisters, is a significant work showcasing their signature vocal harmonies and a blend of contemporary hits and standards. It features tracks like Chances Are, Birth of the Blues, and I’ll Be Seeing You, reflecting the sisters’ ability to intertwine old and new musical styles under the orchestral direction of Dick Jacobs. The title track, Just for Old Time’s Sake, written by Hank Hunter and Jack Keller, became their final national top-20 hit, peaking in 1961, marking a notable moment as their last major chart success. The album’s release coincided with the group’s peak popularity, following their rise to fame through appearances on Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts and their induction into multiple halls of fame later in their career. This LP remains a testament to their influence in classic vocal group music.
