About The Record:

National Lampoon Missing White House Tapes is comedy album satirizing the Watergate scandal. Side A features doctored recordings of Richard Nixon’s speeches, including a fabricated confession to the Watergate break-in, while Side B includes sketches performed by John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Rhonda Coullet, and Tony Scheuren, focusing on Nixon’s rise and fall and Gerald Ford’s presidency. Produced by Irving Kirsch and Vic Dinnerstein, the album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Recording. The album remains a sharp, humorous commentary on 1970s political culture.
