By the end of the '70s, John Denver was still a star. Greatest Hits, Vol. 3 covers the late 70s through mid-80s -- an era that found Denver's skills as sharp as ever. The best moments from these years (most of which are captured in this collection) illustrate that he was still capable of crafting ingratiating folk-pop songs.
