About The Record:

Qualified, by Lois Lane, is a significant release from the Dutch pop duo’s third album, Precious, marking their collaboration with Prince, who wrote and produced the track. The single, featuring several remixes, was recorded at Paisley Park Studios and showcased a blend of soul, pop, and funk, introducing the band to a North American audience under the name Lois L due to copyright issues. While Qualified itself achieved moderate success, it did not reach the top 40 in the Netherlands but contributed to the band’s international exposure alongside another single from the album, Sex. The release is historically notable for Prince’s involvement, which elevated Loïs Lane’s profile during their 1990 Nude Tour support act stint. The single’s B-side and remixes, including the Junior’s 12" Vox Mix, added to its appeal in the dance music scene.
