About The Record:
Work That Magic (12" Single), by Donna Summer, released in 1991, is a vibrant dance-pop track from her album Mistaken Identity, showcasing her signature disco-infused style with a modern twist. Produced by Keith Diamond, the song features extended remixes tailored for club play, emphasizing pulsating rhythms and Summer's dynamic vocals. While Work That Magic did not achieve major chart success in the U.S., it resonated in European markets, particularly in the UK, where it peaked at No. 74. Historically, the single reflects Summer's attempt to adapt to the evolving dance music scene of the early 1990s, following her disco-era dominance. Another notable hit single from the same album, When Love Cries, also garnered attention, reaching No. 77 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
