About The Record:

Music Around the World for Lovers Only, by Jackie Gleason, features lush, romantic orchestral arrangements designed to evoke exotic locales. The album includes 11 tracks, such as On a Slow Boat to China and Hawaiian Wedding Song, with slow tempos and prominent strings and saxophone, maintaining Gleason’s signature easy-listening style. Despite its global theme, the tracks sound similar to his earlier works, with subtle variations in melody rather than distinct cultural accents. Conducted by Gleason, with arrangements by George Williams and soloists like Charlie Ventura on saxophone, the album runs for 31 minutes.
