About The Record:

Glen Campbell “Live”, by Glen Campbell, is his first live album, recorded during a sold-out concert at the Garden State Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey on Independence Day. This double album in the US captures Campbell at the peak of his late-1960s popularity, shortly after launching his successful television variety show The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. A unique aspect is the conspicuous omission of his recent major hits Wichita Lineman and Galveston, while still featuring several Jimmy Webb compositions and a diverse setlist including a medley from Mondo Cane and West Side Story, as well as an instrumental Yakety Sax and a closing The Lord’s Prayer. Fan-favorites and popular songs performed include By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Gentle on My Mind, Dreams of the Everyday Housewife, and The Impossible Dream. The album itself became a commercial success, peaking at No. 13 on the Billboard pop albums chart and No. 2 on the country albums chart, while achieving gold certification upon release.
