About The Record:

Head East, , self-titled album is a hard rock effort featuring tight choruses, prominent keyboards from Roger Boyd, and brisk guitar work from Mike Somerville across a polished set of original tracks plus a notable cover. The album stands out for its mix of mid-tempo hooks and energetic rockers like Open Up the Door, Get Up & Enjoy Yourself, and Elijah, with fan-favorites often highlighting the band's melodic edge and vocal harmonies. A unique aspect is its common reference as the Roadsign Album due to the distinctive cover imagery. Historically it represents a solid later-period release for the band as they maintained their classic rock sound into the late 1970s. The single Since You Been Gone became a fan-favorite cover of the Russ Ballard song and the album reached No. 78 on the Billboard 200 while the single hit No. 46 on the Billboard Hot 100.
