About The Record:
Fast Girls, by Janet Jackson, from her album Dream Street, was written and produced by Jesse Johnson and marked her early work under A&M Records. It peaked at No. 40 on the US Billboard R&B charts, reflecting Jackson’s initial struggles to gain mainstream traction before her breakthrough with Control in 1986. The single included two B-sides: Love and My Best Friend from her debut album and the French Blue medley, combining Fast Girls and Pretty Boy.
