About The Record:
Reflections, by Jerry Garcia, released in February 1976, is his second solo album, blending original compositions with covers and showcasing his versatility as a guitarist and songwriter outside the Grateful Dead. The album features contributions from the Grateful Dead and the Jerry Garcia Band, with tracks like Comes a Time and Deal reflecting Garcia’s signature mix of rock, folk, and blues. Historically significant for its partial recording during the Grateful Dead’s 1975 hiatus, it captures Garcia exploring new creative avenues while maintaining his collaborative spirit. No singles from Reflections achieved major chart success, but Might as Well became a fan favorite and staple in Garcia’s live performances. The album is notable for its laid-back vibe and its role in bridging Garcia’s solo and Dead repertoires.
