Fields, not only features two acts by the comedic actor, but also eight songs by Mae West. Fields was an actor, comedian, juggler, and writer. Fields's comic persona was a comically crude and hard-drinking egotist who remained a sympathetic character despite his supposed contempt for children and dogs. West was an actress, singer, comedian, screenwriter, and playwright whose career spanned over seven decades. She bucked the studio system by making comedy out of conventional beliefs, and the Depression-era audience admired her for it. When her film career ended, she wrote books and plays, continued to perform in Las Vegas and London and on radio and television, and recorded rock and roll albums.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0992/6937/8329/files/LP-mae_west_and_wc_fields-his_only_recording.jpg?v=1783555518
