About The Record:

Wonderland Of Christmas, by Andre Kostelanetz, is a 1963 orchestral holiday album by renowned conductor Andre Kostelanetz and His Orchestra, released on Columbia Records as their second of three classic Christmas recordings. Recorded primarily in April 1963 in New York City, it features lush, easy-listening arrangements of 20 all-time Yuletide favorites presented in 12 medley tracks, blending traditional carols like Joy to the World and Silent Night with secular hits such as White Christmas and Sleigh Ride. Historically significant as a staple of mid-century American easy-listening Christmas music, the album was re-released multiple times by popular demand, including as a limited edition stereo version, and has been praised for its festive, grand orchestral sound that defined the genre alongside contemporaries like Percy Faith. It endures as a beloved classic, often included in complete Kostelanetz Christmas compilations and cherished for evoking nostalgic holiday memories. The album consisted entirely of instrumental interpretations of established standards.
