Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles on side one, occasional crackles on side two(play-graded). Cover has scuffing, creasing near edges, discoloration with darker discoloration spots (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white); two seams partially split. Spine is partly readable with wear and some form breaks along it. Shelf-wear along top-edge, heavier across bottom-edge. Splits near left side of bottom-edge. Some wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of use and divots. Red label with Columbia around edge. (Not a cut-out.)

Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits was released in 1972, two years after the duo had disbanded. The album was a mix of original studio recordings and four previously unreleased live recordings. Their Greatest Hits collection features, Mrs. Robinson which topped the charts aided by its appearance in the hit movie The Graduate. The Sound of Silence and Bridge over Troubled Water which both peaked at No. 1, and The Boxer which peaked at No. 7. The album peaked on the U.S. albums chart at No. 5 and has sold over 14 million copies in the U.S. alone. It holds the record, in the U.S., for the best-selling album by a duo.
