Recorded when Yaged had already been performing professionally for over two decades, the album showcases his virtuosic clarinet work on a selection of standards and originals, blending energetic tempos with authentic 1940s and 1950s big band influences. Historically significant as Yaged's sole studio recording until a 2019 collaboration 63 years later, it highlights his enduring legacy as a Manhattan-based musician who gigged seven nights a week and shared stages with swing luminaries, continuing to perform until his death at age 96 in May 2019. The album was reissued by Pine Hill Records in 2018 on CD and white vinyl, remastered for modern audiences to preserve its lively essence.
