Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is easy-to-read with mild wear. Minor shelf-wear along top\/bottom-edge and corners; small developing split near top center. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and several small divots. Helen Lowe's replacement, Sylvia St. James, joined Side Effect with \u003cspan style=\"font-style: italic ;\"\u003eGoin' Bananas\u003c\/span\u003e, and although Lowe's departure was a major loss for the group, St. James shows herself to be an expressive and capable vocalist on the catchy \u003cspan style=\"font-style: italic ;\"\u003ePrivate World,\u003c\/span\u003e the title tune (a goofy yet infectious funk song), and an interpretation of \u003cspan style=\"font-style: italic ;\"\u003eCloudburst\u003c\/span\u003e that is probably the group's most jazz-oriented offering ever. Augie Johnson, meanwhile, has a charming lead vocal on \u003cspan style=\"font-style: italic ;\"\u003eOpen Up Your Heart.\u003c\/span\u003e The funky single \u003cspan style=\"font-style: italic ;\"\u003eIt's All In Your Mind\u003c\/span\u003e made it to No. 18 on Billboard's R\u0026amp;B singles chart.
