About The Record:

When The Boys Meet The Girls - The Original Sound Track Recording, by Various Artists, is the soundtrack album from the 1965 MGM musical film starring Connie Francis and Harve Presnell, blending timeless George and Ira Gershwin standards with fresh 1960s pop and rock numbers performed by a diverse roster of MGM recording artists. A standout unique feature is its eclectic mix of performers, including Connie Francis on the lively title track When The Boys Meet The Girls and Mail Call, Harve Presnell delivering Embraceable You, Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs with the fun Monkey See, Monkey Do, Louis Armstrong contributing the jazzy Throw It Out Your Mind and I Got Rhythm, Liberace on the instrumental Aruba Liberace, and Herman's Hermits performing the fan-favorite Listen People alongside Bidin' My Time. The album holds historical significance as a snapshot of mid-1960s crossover entertainment, remaking elements of the 1930 Gershwin musical Girl Crazy while showcasing British Invasion acts like Herman's Hermits alongside American pop, jazz, and Hollywood veterans. Popular songs and fan-favorites include the catchy Listen People by Herman's Hermits (which became a major hit single peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100), the Gershwin classics Embraceable You (performed separately by Harve Presnell and Connie Francis), But Not For Me, and I Got Rhythm. The soundtrack album itself reached No. 61 on the Billboard 200.When the Boys Meet the Girls (Original Recording)
