About The Record:

Slides by Richard Harris, is a baroque pop concept album noted for its warm, richly arranged sound featuring a variety of instruments like electric piano, accordion, and banjo. It showcases Harris's dramatic vocal style, with standout tracks like Blue Canadian Rocky Dream and November Song, which evoke strong emotional responses and have been praised for their poignant lyrical delivery. The album is considered a classic by some fans for its charm and conviction, with arrangements by Tony Romeo and Johnny Harris. Historically, Slides marks Harris's final pop album before he shifted focus to movie soundtracks and spoken-word recordings, such as his work on Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet.
