Brenda Lee is a sadly underrated vocalist who could have gone in any direction she chose; on \u003cspan style=\"font-style: italic ;\"\u003eJohnny One Time\u003c\/span\u003e she dabbles in various styles, but the prevailing mood is one of adult pop. The title song reached No. 3 on the adult contemporary chart, No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100, and No. 50 on the country chart in 1969.
