About The Record:

Concert on Stage Live, by Sesame Street, captures live performances from concerts held on March 15 and 16, 1973, with nearly 1,000 day care center children from the New York area in attendance. Featuring the Sesame Street cast and Muppets, it includes popular songs like Sing and the iconic theme Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?, showcasing the show's educational and musical appeal. The album's unique packaging, with a quad-fold sleeve and a poster featuring lyrics and character drawings, added to its charm and reached No. 211 on Billboard's Bubbling Under the Top LPs chart. Historically significant, it won a Grammy Award for Best Recording for Children, reflecting Sesame Street's cultural impact. The hit single Sing, written by Joe Raposo, gained further prominence after being covered by The Carpenters in 1973, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
