About The Record:
Bob Mcbride,, a self-titled album, marked a significant point in his career as he returned to recording after a cocaine overdose earlier that year. Produced with a new backup band called Expedition and recorded live at the RPM Conference in Toronto, the album showcased McBride’s vocal range and songwriting maturity. It yielded a minor hit single, Wild Eyes. Critics praised the album’s polished sound, but it did not achieve significant commercial success, reflecting McBride’s ongoing struggles with health and industry challenges. Historically, the album is notable for McBride’s resilience, as he continued performing despite personal setbacks, including substance abuse issues that impacted his career trajectory.
