Vinyl plays with crackles and a few light-clicks (play-graded). Cover looks good; a few creases near edges; moderate scuffing and surface impressions (front/back); tiny surface abrasions with more noticeable abrasion near top-center on front; slight discoloration with darker discoloration spots on back. Inner-sleeve is original (Columbia ads); seams partially split. Spine is mostly easy-to-read with mild-wear. Some shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. MONO pressing with red 2-eye label. (Not a cut-out.)

The Third Album, by Barbra Streisand, followed success of Streisand's previous two albums, The Barbra Streisand Album and The Second Barbra Streisand Album. The Third Album was also very successful; it reached No. 5 on Billboard's Pop Albums Chart and was certified Gold by the RIAA. It stayed on the Billboard 200 for 74 weeks. The photograph on the album cover was taken by actor Roddy McDowall when Streisand was performing on The Judy Garland Show in October 1963. AllMusic gave the album a retrospective three (out of five) stars, and called it "another demonstration of the beauty of Barbra Streisand's voice..."
