About The Record:

I Think We're All Bozos on This Bus, by Firesign Theatre, is a satirical narrative set in a dystopian future, following the character Ralph Spoilsport as he boards a bizarre bus tour through a theme park called the "Future Fair," a parody of technological optimism and consumer culture. Packed with dense wordplay, absurd humor, and social commentary, it critiques the Vietnam War era, corporate greed, and the dehumanizing effects of technology, making it a historically significant reflection of early 1970s counterculture. The album’s innovative sound design and non-linear storytelling influenced later comedy and radio drama, earning it a cult following and a place in the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry in 2005 for its cultural importance. Firesign Theatre’s work was album-oriented, designed for a cohesive listening experience rather than standalone tracks.
