She also became the first and only artist to achieve a No. 1 song on any Billboard chart in five consecutive decades. However, Madame X also became her first album to fail to produce a Billboard Hot 100-charting single. \u003cspan style=\"font-style: italic ;\"\u003eMadame X\u003c\/span\u003e debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart, becoming her ninth No. 1 album in the United States. It also reached the No. 2 spot in several other countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.\nThe album artwork features a close-up of the Madame X persona, with the title etched across her ruby red lips to give the illusion of her mouth being sewn shut. Mike Wass from Idolator called it an \"already-iconic artwork\" and compared the imagery to that of Frida Kahlo. In an interview with iHeartRadio's \u003cspan style=\"font-style: italic ;\"\u003eThe Box,\u003c\/span\u003e Madonna disclosed that she is representing her mother, Madonna Fortin, as the photo depicts what she \"look[ed] like\".
