About The Record:

Can't Stand Losing You (Live), by Police, is a live recording released as part of the band’s promotional efforts tied to their archival and reunion-related activities. Captured during their 1980s performances, it showcases the band’s signature punk-reggae energy and tight musicianship, with Can't Stand Losing You as the centerpiece, originally a hit from their 1978 debut album Outlandos d'Amour. The single, while not charting as prominently as the 1979 original, which reached No. 2 in the UK, was significant for rekindling interest in The Police during the mid-1990s, a period marked by nostalgia for their work and anticipation of future reunions. This release is part of the Live! album, a double live album documenting their 1979 and 1983 tours, highlighting their evolution as a live act. The 1995 single underscores the enduring popularity of Can't Stand Losing You as a hit single and the band’s lasting influence in rock and new wave music.
