It was historically significant as one of the first major crossover albums by a Latin artist, paving the way for the Latin pop boom of the 1990s. Hit singles include Don't Wanna Lose You, a heartfelt ballad that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Get on Your Feet, an upbeat dance track, and Here We Are, a top 10 hit.
