About The Record:
To Prove My Love, by Michael Cooper, was a single from the album Love Is Such a Funny Game. Cooper was a member of the funk/soul group Con Funk Shun until 1987 when he released his first solo album. To Prove My Love was the first track and only successful single from the album. It reached No. 3 on the R&B Songs Charts. Cooper chants his way through the verse and displays his falsetto in the chorus and bridge, something he rarely did while with Con Funk Shun.
